Question by I <3 kiwis!: Is this cage big enough?
so I am thinking about getting 1 or 2 guinea pigs. And this cages looks like it would be big enough (the picture is really small):

is this big enough??????????
The major reason for having a big cage is so the guinea pig can get exercise right?!
the max I could have the cage part is about L41" x W28" x H24" (not including the free roam)

it should be fine for one, but i wouldn't keep 2 in it.

u need like a two to three foot cage for two.
You can build a cage for 2 guinea pigs cheaper than buying a small one. Go to http://www.guineapigcages.com where they will show you how to build a very nice size cage. Good luck.
Sorry that cage is too small. The experts at http://www.guineapigcages.com say two pigs need at least 7.5 sq feet of floor space. The RSPCA states about 7.8. That last cage is only 5 sq foot.
I would suggest building a c+c cage. A 2×3 grid cage measures about 28 x 42. If you really can’t fit one that size you can always overlap grids and tie them together with cable ties, so you can make exactly the right size. C=C cages are cheap and easy to build – I wouldn’t be without mine!
I also think it is a great idea to have the run attached during the day as this will give them more space.
You are right – the point of having a big cage is so that the piggies can get enough exercise (running and popcorning) and so you can fit toys and hideys as well.
